Teenaged boys seem to have an extremely distorted sense of love. One minute, they fight for you and say that they will do anything to prove their commitment to you, and the next they are doing the same with their ex-girlfriends. To be honest, I don’t think that there was any love in the first place- just the fear of being alone.
So the next time he says to you “I’ll never cheat on you again, I’ll do everything to prove to you that it’s you and not her”, be strong. Don’t take it. Shut him down, because if he’s like anyone I know, he will be whispering those words in the next girl’s ear as soon as he gets the chance. And you’ll be left with a shadow of regret, wondering why you were so foolish in the first place.
